Shiloh's Story . . .
Well, it all started when Shiloh was a little down on her luck.  She had found herself in that place that all dogs fear, the "doggie jail", known to humans as the animal shelter.  The particular shelter where Shiloh was does not have the animals vet checked, even though they receive funds as a public charity.  They claim to not have funds to afford veterinary care for the animals.  Upon her arrival at The Shiloh Foundation GSD rescue, she had an untreated urinary incontinence problem and was full of fleas and worms.

Shiloh had a one month Shelter Care insurance policy, which we extended.  This policy will not pay for assault injuries and does not pay for fractured teeth.

After veterinary treatment for the incontinence, fleas and worms, Shiloh went on a walk one evening with her owner on a main street in Oregon.  During the walk, 2 strange men approached and demanded money.   Shiloh and her owner continued on their way.

The men caught up with Shiloh and her owner 6 blocks later and jumped at them at an intersection.  One of the men, Anthony R. Garrison, began suddenly brutally beating Shiloh with a wooden walking cane.  He delivered several HARD blows to her head when a police patrol car drove by and noticed what was happening.

Both men are well known to the District Attorney's office and have criminal records in the state of Oregon  The assailant also has several prior convictions for assault.  Three weeks after assaulting Shiloh, he assaulted a pregnant woman.
