The assailant beat Shiloh so hard with the wooden cane that he broke her teeth.  She had a severely swollen muzzle and her right upper canine tooth was broken off to the pulp, exposing the nerve.  Her nose was bleeding.


Shiloh stood between her owner and the assailant and took the blows.  Her owner tried desperately to pull her out of the way, but she refused to move. Shiloh never barked, never whined, never growled, never tried to bite or run away.  She seemed to have accepted her role as protector without question.

Shiloh had to have extensive dental surgery, including root canals on two teeth.

Shiloh has recovered from her injuries and is still the same happy gal as before.  Only a dog could be this forgiving.
